It’s simple! Sleep Systems sleep apnea devices are inserted in the ear and calibrated to the safe angles where apnea is reduced or eliminated. The person goes to sleep and when their head position gets into the alarm region or apnea inducing angles the device generates a low tone to alert the sleeper to adjust their head. The sleeper re-positions their head and the tone will stop. The device is designed to allow for tossing and turning and getting up to use the bathroom without disruption to the calibration.
